New class starting!

Wednesday classes at St Laurence’s are getting very busy! I really enjoy working with a smaller group so rather than find a bigger venue I’m adding a second class on a Wednesday evening. From 20th June there will be 2 classes on Wednesdays; 1800-1915 and 1930-2045. Class passes will be valid for both sessions so if the later time works better for you, either occasionally or on a regular basis, then you can mix and match across the classes! Both classes will remain general level with beginners always welcome. Looking forward to seeing you on the mat soon!

Class passes now available!

5 class passes are now available for Wednesdays at St Laurence’s. £40 for 5 classes, they offer a discount on the drop in rate and mean you don’t need to remember cash each week!

If you prefer to continue to pay as you go, drop in for £9 per class.

  • Passes are valid for 6 weeks/7 classes
  • Payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer
  • Passes cannot be shared
  • An expiry extension will be made in the event of a class being cancelled
  • A pro rata refund will be made in the event of the class no longer running

Dementia Friends

I’m proud to be a Dementia Friends Champion, volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Society by delivering Dementia Friends information sessions in order to raise awareness and understanding of dementia within the local community.

In this interview from this morning’s BBC Breakfast, Carey Mulligan talks about her role as the UK’s Dementia Friends Ambassador and creating dementia friendly communities.

My next session is 3pm-4pm at Munch Coffee Shop, 44 George Street, Brighton on Wednesday August 24th. The session is open to all and if you would like to become a Dementia Friend you can become one at this session. Get your bounce back!

thumb_IMG_0785_1024When people start practising yoga they often comment on how well they slept or how they felt relaxed yet sparkly afterwards. Yoga works on many levels, balancing us physically, emotionally and energetically. Why not give it a go!

In addition to regular classes in Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea, I’ve just started a new class at Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College on the Brighton/Hove border, just up from Seven Dials. At the junction of Dyke Road and the Upper Shoreham Road, BHASVIC is easy to get to and has free parking onsite. Running each Wednesday 1830-1945, beginners are very welcome. Please contact me for more information or to book your space!
